This intermediate course builds on core design principles, diving deeper into professional workflows, advanced software techniques, and industry-standard practices. Students will explore branding systems, editorial design, motion graphics basics, and client-based projects. Emphasis is placed on conceptual thinking, polished execution, and building a professional portfolio.
Duration: 8–10 weeks
Format: Project-based with critiques (online/in-person).
By the end of this course, students will:
Master grid systems, multi-page layouts (e.g., magazines, brochures), and UI/UX basics.
Apply advanced color grading, photo manipulation, and vector illustration.
Develop cohesive brand guidelines (logos, typography, color palettes, and assets).
Design for real-world applications (packaging, stationery, digital ads).
Create simple animations (GIFs, social media ads) using After Effects or Figma prototypes.
Present work persuasively to "clients" (peers/instructors).
Handle feedback and revisions efficiently.
Curate 3–5 high-quality projects (e.g., brand identity, editorial spread, motion graphic).
